According to a report, Anil Kapoor, who was to feature in the comedy film Housefull 5, has quit the film. Scroll down to know the reason.
Since the announcement of Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar joining forces for Housefull 5, fans have been eagerly anticipating a laughter-filled experience. However, in disappointing news, Anil Kapoor is no longer part of the comedy film, according to a report by Mid-Day. The report suggests that producers Sajid Nadiadwala and Anil Kapoor could not reach an agreement regarding the actor’s fees, leading to Kapoor’s departure from the project.
Following this change in the cast, reports indicate that the filmmakers are now revising Nana Patekar’s role in the movie, as he was originally set to share comedic chemistry with Anil Kapoor. Other reports from Bollywood Hungama suggest that the filmmakers are considering casting Arjun Rampal for the franchise. However, there has been no official confirmation on this matter yet.
Initially slated for a Diwali 2024 release, Housefull 5 has been postponed to 2025. In a statement, the makers explained, “The Housefull franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Housefull 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we’ve made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with a great cinematic experience.” Housefull 5 is now scheduled for release on June 6, 2025.
Despite the changes in casting, the makers remain committed to Housefull 5. Director Tarun Mansukhani has decided to commence filming by the end of August with a rigorous schedule in the UK.
