Animal box-office early estimates: Ranbir Kapoor-starrer enters Rs 100 crore club in just 2 days

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur were two of the most anticipated films of 2023 that clashed at the box-office. Kapoor’s film stormed the box-office on day one with Rs 54 crore approx. and on day two, it’s been reported by Pinkvilla it has jumped to Rs 58 crore, taking the two-day total to Rs 112 crore.

The heartthrob of the nation, Ranbir Kapoor entered the entertainment industry in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. Since then he has bowled us over with his impeccable and memorable performances.

Ranbir Kapoor’s biggest opener

With an insane collection of around Rs 63.80 crore (Rs 54.75 crore in Hindi version and Rs 9.05 crore in dubbed south versions), Animal has turned out to be the biggest opener of Ranbir Kapoor.

2nd biggest opener of all-time

It emerged as the 2nd biggest Bollywood opener of all time after Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which earned Rs 75 crore in all versions.

Since Jawan released this year, Animal automatically emerged as 2nd biggest of 2023.

Rashmika Mandanna’s highest first-day grosser

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Animal also became Rashmika’s biggest opener. It has surpassed Pushpa, Dear Comrade and Geetha Govindam to achieve this feat.

Biggest opener for an ‘A’ rated film

Animal surpassed Kabir Singh (Rs 20.21 crore) by a huge margin to become the biggest opener for an ‘A’ rated film. Interestingly, the latter was also directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
