That brings us to the end of our coverage of Day 7 of the 19th Asian Games, with India winning gold medals in men’s squash and tennis mixed doubles, a silver in the mixed team 10m air pistol event as well as a silver and bronze in the men’s 10000m race.

India’s medal count rises to 38 with 10 gold and 14 silver and bronze each, and they find themselves at the fourth spot, behind the big three (China, Japan and South Korea). The Indians are ahead of Uzbekistan by a solitary medal, with both nations having won 10 gold medals each.

India have also assured themselves medals in several other sports, including the badminton men’s team event where they defeated South Korea, as well as in the table tennis women’s doubles event where Ayhika and Suthirtha Mukherjee stunned China’s world No 2 pair Meng Chen and Yidi Wang to advance to the semis.
