India continued their impressive show at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, winning another nine medals on the tenth day of competition to take their overall tally to 69.
Asian Games 2023: Updated medal tally
The Indian track and field team continued to shine bright, with Parul Chaudhary and Annu Rani winning gold in the women’s 5000m and women’s javelin throw respectively. Additionally, Tejaswin Shankar and Mohammed Afsal would win silver in men’s decathlon and men’s 800m respectively. Two bronze medals were won by Vithya Ramraj (women’s 400m hurdles) and Praveen Chithravel (men’s triple jump).

The remaining three bronze medals were won in rowing (Arjun Singh and Sunil Singh Salam, men’s men’s canoe double 1000m event) and boxing (Preeti Pawar, 54kg and Narender Berwal, +92kg).
