Beats Fit Pro Debut in 3 New Colors

The flagship earbuds from Beats still offer long battery life and excellent audio quality in the new colors.

Beats Fit Pro first hit the scene back in 2021, but have been cruising along since then. Providing that momentum are an excellent set of features like active noise cancellation, long battery life, and a compact design that stays secure in the ear.

We’ve seen a few new colors roll out, most recently a collaboration between Beats and Kim Kardashian, but ahead of spring Beats is debuting three new colors. Coral Pink, Volt Yellow, and Tidal Blue are three fresh shades that launch on Feb. 23.

Beats Fit Pro: What You Need to Know

The new color options join the existing black, white, Sage Gray, and Stone Purple. Best of all they arrive at the same $199.95 price point and don’t represent an increase. Out of the new shades, Volt Yellow is my favorite and provides a nice vibrant, pop of color. Coral Pink and Tidal Blue are a bit more muted, but still deliver a unique shade. Both the right and left earbuds, extra ear-tips, and the carrying case all get the matching paint job.

As far the hardware inside the earbuds goes, that’s all staying the same and that isn’t a bad thing. Powering the Beat Fit Pro is the Apple-made H1 chip which enables fast pairing and provides plenty of processing power for listening modes like active noise cancellation or transparency.

In terms of sound quality, the Fit Pros are true to the Beats brand with a strong mix that does an excellent job of highlighting the lower end. For the sheer size of the earbuds, the bass is quite strong. With a wing tip design the Beat Fit Pro do an excellent job of staying in the ear and can easily survive a workout, even a sweaty one, thanks to IPX4 resistance. Beats does include a few ear tip sizes in the box and you can complete a fit test to ensure you have a proper seal.

With battery life, you can expect six hours of playback from the buds themselves and the case provides enough juice for three full recharges. That comes to a total of about 24 hours with a quick recharge here and there. The carrying case charges via USB-C and only with a wired connection. There is no support for wireless charging, though a cable is included in the box.

Just like AirPods Pro, Beat Fit Pro will pair with an iPhone and then sync across your other Apple  (AAPL) - Get Free Report gadgets through iCloud. In my testing, I flipped open the lid and the splash screen appeared on my iOS device within a few seconds. With an Android device, I just had to flip open the case--or hold the button on the back--to find the earbuds in my Bluetooth settings.

The new shades don’t change the listening experience of the Fit Pro, but it does give them a fresh look. If you’ve been looking for a pair of earbuds fit for a workout or that offer a tighter seal in the ear, the Beats Fit Pro are well worth a look.

The true wireless earbuds launch in Coral Pink, Tidal Blue, and Volt Yellow for $199 on Feb. 23. They will join the existing colors--black, white, sage green, stone purple, dune, earth, and moon--which are available now.
