Danish Pratap Sood on Challenges in ‘Naam Namak Nishan’ as an Indian Army Officer and His Bond with Varun Sood – Exclusive

Actor Danish Pratap Sood, normally also often called the ‘OTT Big name,’ has made a mark along with his roles in renowned Bollywood films like Gulmohar, starring Manoj Bajpayee, and in TV dramas similar to The Fame Game with Madhuri Dixit. He stars alongside Varun Sood, Helly Shah, Karan Vohra, and Roshni Wali. In an exclusive interview with India.com, Danish discusses his bond with Varun Sood both on and offscreen.

Danish Sood on His Bond with Varun Sood

Danish explained how he and Varun Sood didn’t know every other after they auditioned for their role in Naam Namak Nishan. After their roles were finalised, Varun and Danish played the roles of Yuvraj and Gurbaaz within the series. We also asked Danish to make clear whether the two had a spark for fitness which brought them closer both onscreen and offscreen. Danish told us, “Yes, fitness used to be among the many crucial aspects that brought me and Varun closer together. What used to be lacking between the ‘Soods’ used to be that we didn’t know every other. When we got to know every other the ‘Soods’ are now brothers, offscreen besides.”

The OTT big name similarly added, “We’ve been great friends, playing the roles of cadets we experienced hardships together, Varun and I had most to share, with him being on set it made the atmosphere calm. Right from being enemies to changing into friends, we came closer together, because great friends know how to placed on an exceptional fight.”

Danish Sood On Facing Difficulties Playing Gurbaaz

Danish Sood also sheds light on the challenges he faced on set while portraying Gurbaaz Singh Khalon who is a cadet at Indian Armed Forces. His character also shows him as a global-level shooter who joined the armed forces. Explaining the situation, Danish revealed that he had to remain perfect in shape and no longer bulky. “In the start acting used to be the priority since I had to keep on with the character, but luckily I was always into sports. Playing a skeet rifle shooter is different for me, cadets aren't from now on imagined to be jacked, and likewise you don’t see army cadets bulking. I was very a full lot particular in regards to the athletic built of the character Since Varun looks bigger than me I had to hit the gym.”
