Radhika Merchant is all set to be the bride of the year as she draped a bespoke custom lehenga for the ‘mameru’ ceremony. The bride-to-be never fails to make fashion moment for herself and we are in awe! For her pre-wedding festivity, Radhika wore an elegant Manish Malhotra custom-made bandhani lehenga. But it was not just another traditional piece. The intricate detailing from borders to jewellery is just too wholesome.

Decoding Radhika Merchant’s Pre-Wedding Lehenga

Radhika Merchant stunned in rani pink banarasi brocade. And her jewellery stood out too, afterall it had too! What grabbed our fancy was the beautifully weaved ‘Durga Maa Shloka’ on the borders of the lehenga.

The lehenga speaks elegance and grace with classic embroidery in gold taar zardosi. According to designer Manish Malhotra’s description, the lehenga is a work of “rai bandhej on a banarasi brocade in rani pink. 35 Mtrs of bandhej used to make the Ghagra.” The heavily embroidered blouse piece is inspired by vintage koti designs.

Accentuating the detailing, she draped a statement dupatta with a story of what looked like a ‘baraat entry’ weaved all over it.

Every bride wants to make every look, every ceremony of her big day special. And what is more wholesome than carrying your mother’s legacy and a piece of her heart too. Similarly, Radhika wore her mother’s bespoke jewellery that she had worn for her ‘mausalu’ ceremony’, and amplified her bridal couture.

We could not take our eyes off her choti (hair) accessory. Radhika wore a stunning hair accessory that was all thing graceful. For glam picks, Merchant looked mesmerising in kohl eyes and small bindi.
