Emergency Postponed! Kangana Ranaut Confirms Her Political Drama’s New Release Date Will Be Announced Soon

Kangana Ranaut has been everywhere the limelight ever since the trailer of her upcoming film Emergency became released. The film became before everything slated to hit the big screens on September 6, 2024. On the opposite hand, as a consequence of the controversies surrounding the film, the Kangana-starrer has not yet received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). For that reason, the free up of the film has been postponed. On Friday, Kangana took to her X account (formerly most often often is named Twitter) and made the news official.

Sharing the news on X, Kangana wrote, “With a heavy heart, I announce that my directorial Emergency has been postponed. We are still expecting certification from the censor board. The new free up date shall be announced soon. Thanks for your figuring out and patience (sic).”

Take a look here:

The official confirmation of the film’s postponement comes two days after the Bombay High Court declined to pass any orders following a directive by the Madhya Pradesh HC, which instructed the CBFC to assume objections to the movie earlier than issuing certification. Consequently, the High Court asked the censor board to review the objections raised against the film and provide certification by September 18.

Last week, one day of a media interaction, Kangana said she would fight for her film if it failed to receive certification. Speaking to news agency ANI, she said, “It’s getting too late. I'm hoping the film is released on time. Otherwise, I'm determined to fight for it. I'm determined to even go to court to give protection to my film and my rights as a person. You could be ready to’t change history and scare us with threats.”

She similarly added, “We should always show history. A virtually 70-year-old woman became shot 30-35 times in her house. Someone must have killed her. Now, or not you may perhaps like to should show it, because apparently, you watched it's possible you could be ready to hurt somebody. But or not you may perhaps like to show history. So how did she die?”
