'Epicentre of terrorism, organised crime': MEA slams Pakistan, accuses it of peddling anti-India propaganda

Pakistan has long been the epicentre of terrorism, organised crime, and illegal transnational activities, said Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, terming the move as the latest attempt at peddling false and malicious anti-India propaganda.

India and many other countries have publicly warned Pakistan cautioning that it would be consumed by its own culture of terror and violence.

In response to remarks made by the Pakistan Foreign Ministry, saying that it had “credible evidence” linking Indian agents to the killings of two Pakistani citizens on Pakistani soil, Jaiswal said, “It is Pakistan’s latest attempt at peddling false and malicious anti-India propaganda.”

“As the world knows, Pakistan has long been the epicentre of terrorism, organised crime, and illegal transnational activities. India and many other countries have publicly warned Pakistan cautioning that it would be consumed by its own culture of terror and violence. Pakistan will reap what it sows,” it said in a statement.

Earlier today, addressing the media, Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Qazi said that the method of assassination was similar to attempts in Canada and the United States. “These are killings-for-hire cases involving a sophisticated international set-up spread over multiple jurisdictions,” he said.

Pakistan’s allegations come months after both Canada and the United States separately accused Indian agents of being linked to assassination attempts on their soil.

India has rejected Ottawa’s allegations and has launched an investigation into U.S. allegations.
