Fawad Khan, the celebrated Pakistani actor, is all prepped up for his upcoming role in the movie ‘Barzakh’, directed by Asim Abbasi. That’s not all, whispers are making rounds that Fawad might be coming back to the Bollywood industry with a project under director Aarti Bagdi’s wing. Recently, Asim showed his support for Fawad when a critic on X (formerly known as Twitter) grilled Fawad’s decision to partake in a Bollywood venture. Read on to find more details.
A user on X/Twitter penned, “Btw. Fawad Khan doesn’t ‘need’ offers from Pakistan, he HAS offers from Pakistan. Tons of them. He has refused most of them. Mainstream, massive projects with A list writers and actors and directors. But he’s choosing to work with Vaani Kapoor in a rando Bwood film (sic).”
Reacting to the post, Asim replied, “Appreciate this isn’t my battle, but I am really curious to understand what the problem here is? We are individuals, free to make the choices we want to make for our careers and our fulfilment? Who is any random person to judge the people/geography we want to work with/in? … Also OFFERS are subjective – we don’t have the same likes or interests. Despite the interest from some channels, I have ZERO interest in doing that content – it is not my style, my aesthetic – there is no definitive list of A-List. We are in a beautiful industry that… (sic).”
He further added, “Should celebrate diversity and personal choices. We do what fulfils our soul. Doing shows with Zindagi or in the UK fulfils my soul. Perhaps something else fulfils Fawad’s soul? Please, know that we love you all, but we do not want to be held to arbitrary standards (sic).”

Reacting to Asim’s post an X/Twitter user wrote, “After the way he was treated, we expected him to turn towards his own industry. He is our superstar. What about The industry that made him ?” Asim responded, “What is ‘own’ industry? If I only had an ‘own’ industry, Cake would have never been made? Every single TV channel threw me out of their offices, because there was nothing commercial in my film? (sic).”

Fawad Khan Re-Enters Bollywood After 8 Year Hitaus
Fawad is poised for a strong reappearance in Indian cinema and is expected to star in a romantic comedy with Vaani Kapoor. The movie, to be set entirely in the UK, has Aarti Bagdi in the director’s chair. It’s a captivating story about two people who cross paths with each other, lending helping hands and gradually developing deep affection and love. This yet to be titled film unveils Eastwood Studios’ first foray into international collaborations. It’s interesting to note that Fawad took an eight-year hiatus from Bollywood, with his last role being in Hindi movies like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Kapoor and Sons, and Khoobsurat.
