Heeramandi Actor Taha Shah Says People Call Him ‘New Sushant Singh Rajput’: ‘Like to Take His Legacy Forward’

Several online users have called Taha Shah Badussha the ‘new Sushant Singh Rajput‘ and drawn comparisons between his struggles and those of the late actor trying to break through in the movie business. During a recent conversation, the ‘Heeramandi‘ actor talked about his recollections of Sushant and his ambitions for continuing his legacy.

He discussed his opinions on these parallels and his recollections of Sushant. The actor, who rose to fame with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s show conveyed his respect for the later actor and his wish to carry on his legacy. Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Taha said, “I knew Sushant personally. I know how it is to come from outside. I would like to take his legacy forward. People have actually messaged me and told me that I am their new Sushant. How awesome is that? Because I know how much love the audience gave him. I just hope to live up to these expectations.”

Taha recalled his conversation with Sushant Singh Rajput, recalling their deep but brief chats and common interests. Additionally, he described SSR as a highly bright and thoughtful individual. “He would talk a lot about books, and I relate to him on that. I didn’t spend too much time with him; we talked only at events and parties. When I met him, we talked about NASA. We also talked about Kai Po Che because I was being considered for Amit Sadh’s character in the film, but I ended up not getting it because of the age difference,” he shared.

In the SLB-directed debut series, Taha Shah Badussha portrayed Nawab Tajdar Baloch.
