Hezbollah Commander killed in Israeli airstrike; US calls for 21 day ceasefire

Amid rising tensions between Israel and Lebanon, the United States has called for a 21-day ceasefire along the Israel-Lebanon border to prevent further escalation and allow diplomacy a chance to take hold, both there and in Gaza.

Tel Aviv: In a main setback for Hezbollah, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have confirmed the elimination of Muhammad Hussein Srour, the Commander of the group’s Aerial Command, in a precision airstrike on Beirut. Taking to X(previously Twitter), Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) wrote,” Eliminated: Commander of Hezbollah’s Aerial Command, Muhammad Hussein Srour, in an exact IAF strike in Beirut. Srour progressed and directed a large collection of aerial terrorist attacks geared toward Israeli civilians. At some stage within the “Iron Swords” war, he executed several terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers using UAVs and explosive devices. ”

Furthermore, the IDF stated that Srour was once to blame for advancing a large collection of aerial terrorist attacks excited about Israeli civilians. “In as much as the moment years, Srour led the manufacturing project of UAVs in southern Lebanon and established UAV manufacturing and intelligence gathering sites in Lebanon, located adjacent to civilian infrastructure in Beirut and southern Lebanon. He was once also the commander within the skin-to-air missile unit, commander within the “Aziz” Unit of the Radwan Force and Hezbollah’s emissary to Yemen and the Houthi terrorist regime’s Aerial Command,” the tweet further reads.
