New Delhi: India’s celebrity Neeraj Chopra opens up on how he secured 2nd position within the Diamond League 2024 in Brussels, the celebrity athlete became just zero.01m wanting the trophy. The Indian who won the Diamond League in 2022 earlier than finishing 2nd last year, over again finished within the back of winner Anderson Peters with a throw of 87.86m on Saturday.

Neeraj Chopra came up on X (formerly Twitter) with the explanation of ending up in 2nd position within the Diamond League 2024.

The Olympic celebrity said, “As the 2024 season ends, I look back on the entirety I’ve learned throughout the year – about improvement, setbacks, mentality and more. On Monday, I injured myself in practice and X-rays showed that I had fractured the fourth metacarpal in my left hand. It became yet another painful challenge for me. But with the help of my team, I became ready to participate in Brussels.”

“This became the last competition of the year, and I wished to end my season on the track. While I couldn’t meet my own expectations, I believe this became a season wherein I learned a lot. I am now determined to come again, fully fit and able to go. I thank all of you in your encouragement. 2024 has made me a more in-depth athlete and person. See you in 2025,” he added.

Chopra, who added a silver to his Olympic medal tally in Paris following a historic gold on the Tokyo Games, thus ended his season on a high. The Indian javelin throw superstar, who has a personal better of 89.94m and season’s better of 89.49m, had a series of 86.82m, eighty three.49m, 87.86m, eighty two.04m, eighty three.30m and 86.46m. The head three led the seven-man field within the same order for the total competition.

Anderson Peters will compile a Diamond League trophy and USD 30,000 for emerging because the Diamond League champion this season. Chopra will pocket USD 12,000 for his 2nd-place finish within the grand finale which marked the end of the prestigious Diamond League series after 14 legs, besides because the end of the international athletics season.
