'I think I'd break the TV': When Gauri Khan once said about Shah Rukh Khan watching Hindi films

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are indeed a happy couple, celebrating 32 years of togetherness. They got married in 1991, just a year before SRK made his Bollywood debut. It won’t be wrong to say that the two have been together and stronger than ever and have been each other’s biggest cheerleaders. However, when it comes to the professional front, Shah Rukh and Gauri share very different views. While SRK’s career is mostly around films and acting, Gauri Khan is an interior designer and also does not have much liking for her husband’s career.

The Dunki actor has often revealed that Gauri Khan is not a very big fan of his films. Gauri has even called it the “worst profession” in the world.

When Gauri Khan threatened to ‘break the tv’

In an old interview with Filmfare, Gauri once shared that no offer could ever convince her to do films, further adding that she would even break the TV if Shah Rukh ever sat down to watch a Hindi film video or bring the script home. “If he ever sits down to watch a Hindi movie, I think I will break the TV. If it is a script at home, it will go straight out of the window. He has enough time for all of that on the sets,” she said.

Gauri also elaborated on how film producers used to visit Shah Rukh only when she was not at home. However, this completely changed after the actor moved his office to the front side of the home. “I guess we will have them coming over more often once Shah Rukh gets his office going in the front room,” she said.

This is not it. Shah Rukh has also time and again noted that Gauri is the boss at home and that he is not allowed to interfere in matters concerning the interiors of the house. “It is Gauri who decides what interior staff to buy for the home and what not. I am not allowed to say anything. While the office is concerned, I am the boss,” he once said.
