IPL Auctions 2024: Mumbai Indians retained players, current squad, purse amount, remaining slots

After some media reports said Rohit Sharma will be part of a trade, the report was quashed and Mumbai Indians retained their talismanic captain for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. Rohit will lead the five-time IPL champions into the tournament.

But one media report that did come true is of Hardik Pandya returning to the side. Pandya, who had spent two years with Gujarat Titans, has returned to MI as a massive force than what he was at the time. In the interim, he has garnered plenty of leadership experience with GT winning a title and a runners-up finish. On the national front, Pandya is the skipper in the shortest format of the game.

With Pandya coming back to the fold, Mumbai Indians have been required to release Cameron Green. The Australian allrounder has moved along to Royal Challengers Bangalore in a separate deal.
