Irfan Pathan SLAMS LSG For Not Caring About NRR, Points Table During IPL 2024 Match vs KKR
Irfan Pathan reckoned LSG did not even think about the NRR.
Lucknow: It was a night to forget for the Lucknow Super Giants as they were humiliated by Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday at the Ekana stadium by 98 runs. It eventually turned out to be a one-sided affair. While the loss has hurt their chances of finishing inside the top two for the playoff, former India cricketer Irfan Pathan reckons this could also hurt their chances of making the playoff. Pathan reckoned LSG did not even think about the NRR. Pathan’s tweet read: “Lucknow didn’t even think abt Runrate which might hurt them on points table to either qualify or to reach top 2.”

“It was a lot of runs to be scored in the second innings. When you are chasing a big total, you are trying to go too hard and you end up losing wickets. Just a poor performance overall. It was the seasoned West Indies opener Sunil Narine, who was the star of the night with an all-round performance, hammering a 39-ball 81 and claiming 1-22.
In the new IPL normal of 200-plus scores, Sunil Narine struck a half-century and propelled Kolkata Knight Riders to 235/6 in 20 overs, the highest total at the Ekana Stadium here.
After producing the innings of the match, Narine came in the Powerplay and bowled a banger of a first over. There was a wide in there, but only three runs came off the bat.
