Israel wants captured Hamas terrorists to face more than usual justice, plans to set up special tribunal

Israel is planning to set up a special tribunal to try the detained Hamas terrorists who were involved in the October 7 attack.

According to a report by the public broadcaster Kan, the prevailing view is that the current justice system is not the correct avenue to try the terrorists who participated in the onslaught of October 7 which resulted in the death of thousands of innocent people.

The report added that discussions are underway to decide how to bring the detained Hamas terrorists to justice. Over 200 Hamas terrorists were captured alive in Israel during the October 7 attack. Since then, more members are expected to be brought to Israel as part of its ground invasion.

The Kan report added that “the likely solution is special legislation that will empower a tribunal, to hold a historic judicial case against Hamas to present to the world the goals, roots, funders and activities of the murderous terror group.”

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) on Wednesday released footage of a detained Hamas terrorist who during an interrogation revealed that they were asked by their handlers not to kidnap but kill every person that came in their path.

The terrorist, identified as Omar Abu Rasha, was part of a 7 October killer squad that crossed over into Israel and is now in the custody of Israeli intelligence.

Rasha, a member of Hamas’s Nukhba commando unit, described how he and another Hamas operative entered a house in the small farming community through a window. Once inside, they heard the cries of children coming from a safe room.
