KKR All-Rounder Venkatesh Iyer Ties Knot With Shruti Raghunathan After Lifting IPL 2024

New Delhi: Barely a week after lifting his maiden Indian Premier League trophy, Kolkata Knight Riders star all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer tied the knot with long-time girlfriend Shruti Raghunathan in a South Indian wedding ceremony on Sunday. The left-hander wore a Mundu and was seen garlanding Shruti. As far as the bride is concerned, she draped herself in a stunning blue saree with golden embroidery, the pictures of which went viral on social media.

The cricketer got engaged with Shruti in November last year. While most of his teammates at KKR went home and or got busy at National duty in the T20 World Cup 2024, franchise CEO Venky Mysore and fellow teammate Varun Chakravarthy made sure to be present on Iyer’s most important day of his life.

A huge fan of WWE, Iyer has been one of the vital cogs in the KKR lineup for the last four seasons. He grabbed the limelight during the second phase of IPL 2021 in Dubai when his power-hitting as an opener played a huge role in KKR’s road to the final. It was after IPL 2021, Iyer made his international debut.
