Kolkata: Agitating junior doctors in West Bengal on Wednesday sent an email to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, in search of an appointment to talk about the continued impasse developing out of the alleged rape and murder of an on-duty medic at a state-run clinic here last month.

In their mail, the medics mentioned that they were open for a gathering “every time and any place”, on condition that the general discussion must be streamed live, a physician said.

“We now have got written to the CM madam for a gathering, so one may per chance be arranged every time at this time time or the following day and any place of her choice. On the other hand the meeting must be streamed live,” just a couple of of the junior doctors told PTI. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been conducting a probe into the alleged rape and murder of the girl medic, following a Calcutta High Court order.
