'Let's storm them': Hamas threatens to repeat 7 Oct attack on Israel, incites people of West Bank to take part

Hamas has threatened to repeat October 7 attack on Israel. Not just this, the Palestinian terrorist organisation is also inciting the people of West Bank Bank to attack Israeli and take part in terrorist activity.

According to a report by Memri, the West Bank branch of Hamas’ student organisation has posted a message, calling on the people to emulate the October 7 attack.

The terrorist organisation also posted a graphic showing terrorists with their face masked, crossing a fence and raiding an Israeli locality.

“The settlements are our targets. Let us storm them, [operating] singly or in groups, and let them taste the might of our resistance,” read the text accompanied by the graphic shared the Islamic Bloc.

The posts were shared by Hamas on Telegram channels in which the terrorist organisation has also asked people of West Bank to storm in Israeli localities within their reach to emulate the October 7 attack and also incite terrorism as well as provide operational advice on carrying out effective attacks.

In another post, shared recently on Telegram, Hamas wrote, “Ambushes of death await you.”

The graphic alongwith the post showed armed terrorists preparing to attack an Israeli locality, with the text, “You have no security. Most of our resistance fighters are lying in wait for you. The [West] Bank is not a playground for the settlers.”

However, earlier on Tuesday (21 November), Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said his organisation was nearing a truce agreement with Israel.

“We are close to reaching a deal on a truce,” Haniyeh said in a post on Telegram.

Negotiators have been working to seal a deal to allow the release of around 240 mostly Israeli hostages seized on 7 October, during the suprise and unprecedented attack on Israel which has been deadliest in its history.

Intense negotiations mediated by Qatar, where Hamas has a political office and where Haniyeh is based, have been under way.

On Sunday, Qatar’s prime minister said a deal to free some of the hostages in return for a temporary ceasefire hinged on “minor” practical issues.

The following day (on Monday), US President Joe Biden said he believed a deal to free the hostages was close.
