MS Dhoni Will Not Retire Even if CSK Win IPL 2024 – Robin Uthappa Gives No. 7 Reason Ahead of Clash vs RCB!

Bengaluru: So is MS Dhoni going to stump everyone, again? Will he extend his stay at the CSK for another season or is this his final swansong? While so many speculations are rife, former India cricketer Robin Uthappa, who has shared the dressing-room with Dhoni, reckons this may not be his last year at the IPL. Uthappa reckons Dhoni will not leave after this season even if CSK end up winning the sixth title. Uthappa, the former CSK opener, reckons Dhoni may then chase No. 7.

“He will not retire even if CSK win this year. He will make it six and then chase seven. Of course, he is Thala for a reason,” Uthappa said on Jio Cinema during rain interruption at Wankhede.

RCB are on a five-match winning streak after outclassing Delhi Capitals by 47 runs in their previous game. Despite the forgettable start, the Bengaluru-based franchise gained momentum in the middle of the season to stay alive in the title race. With 12 points in 13 matches, RCB are placed sixth in the standings.

RCB must need to win the match against CSK to bolster their hopes of a title finish. It is not just a win but by a certain margin to better their net run-rate than the defending champions.

Meanwhile, Orange alert has been issued across Bengaluru. The city is expecting heavy rainfall over the next two days.

What if RCB vs CSK Match is Washed Out?

CSK will seal the spot if they beat RCB or the game is washed out on Saturday. If RCB beat CSK by at least 18 runs or 11 balls to spare then they will grab the last playoff spot on the basis of net run-rate.
