Deepti Sharma introduced. The off-spinner starts off with a wide, and appears to have bagged Hayley Matthews’ wicket the next ball after an excellent low grab by Anjali Sarvani at long leg. The TV umpire however, thinks Sarvani’s grassed it, as the ball appears to be close to the ground in replays, and ultimately rules it in favour of the batter even though there was no conclusive evidence that the ball had indeed touched the ground. To make matters worse for the Warriorz, Matthews collects a boundary three balls later. Strategic timeout signalled at the end of the over.

Experienced Mumbai Indians take on spirited UP Warriorz in Eliminator

It was UP Warriorz who brought an end to Mumbai’s winning streak. MI were on a five-game winning streak from five matches when they lost to UPW by five wickets. They would then go on to lose to DC, with the two straight losses costing them the top spot on the points table.

While MI may have revenge on their minds in the Eliminator, UPW would be looking to continue their late surge and sneak into the final.
