Recently, in an interview with Khaane Mein Kya Hai, actor-director Sachin Pilgaonkar, who had a small role in the film, shared a fascinating tidbit: Ramesh Sippy would primarily come to set for the scenes involving Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar, and Amitabh Bachchan. Sachin Pilgaonkar said, “Rameshji decided to have a second unit to do some action sequences, which did no longer have the principle stars. These were just passing shots. For this, he hired stunt film director Mohammad Ali bhai.

He was a famous stunt filmmaker, and he had an action director Azim bhai with him and later two people were often is referred to as from Hollywood, Jim and Jerry. He (Ramesh) wanted two people to symbolize him because these people came from other countries. How would they know about the film, and what was occurring. At that time, there have been simplest two useless people in the unit. One was Amjad Khan and the opposite was me.”

Sachin Pilgaonkar also shared a fascinating insight about director Ramesh Sippy, revealing that Sippy was well attentive to Amjad Khan’s passion for steering, which influenced his decision to feature Khan in the film.
