Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan alongside the star cast of their recent mega blockbuster Jawan, including actress Deepika Padukone and music composer Anirudh Ravichander, attended the success meet of the Atlee directorial on Friday evening in Mumbai.

Speaking at the event, SRK shared how his son Aryan Khan helped him return to the sets of his last release Pathaan with a newfound enthusiasm, after a three-year gap. King Khan last appeared in the 2018 film Zero, before scripting a historic successes with Pathaan and now Jawan.

On a comeback

Speaking at the press conference, Shah Rukh Khan shared how he was ‘very nervous’ about not working for years. He stated, “Main bhi bahut nervous tha ki maine itne saal kaam nahi kiya (I was very nervous that I hadn’t worked for so many years).” The superstar further added how ‘it was very new’ for him to return to a set after three years itself.

Calling the feeling ‘very, very different,’ he described how his elder son, Aryan, told him, “When we were growing up, we knew what stardom in the air felt like because your films were big hits. The daughter (Suhana Khan) says I know it. But this little one (AbRam Khan) knows you’re a star, but has never seen or felt it in the air. So next 5 films, please work very hard. He’ll feel it in the air. He’ll love you, respect you,” Shah Rukh said at the press conference.

Two back-to-back hits

Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan, which saw King Khan play the titular character in Siddharth Anand’s spy thriller, became the biggest Hindi film at the domestic box office, earning more than Rs 543 crore in its lifetime. The blockbuster follows recent Red Chillies production Jawan, which is set to cross Rs 700 crore within nine days of its release.

Work Front

Not just this, Shah Rukh Khan also added how he is working the most intensely in 29 years to make his films succeed. The actor also confirmed that his next film, Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, will be released this year during Christmas.

As per IMDb, the film’s plot revolves around the rampant use of an illegal backdoor route called ‘Donkey Flight’ by Indians to immigrate to countries like Canada and the USA. It stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Satish Shah and Boman Irani among others.
