Shah Rukh Khan takes a jibe at Karan Johar for hosting shows and events: ‘Picture bhi toh bana’

Actor Shah Rukh Khan is making his comeback as a host at IIFA 2024. At some point of the IIFA 2024 pre-event in Mumbai, Khan shared the stage with filmmaker Karan Johar, and the two engaged in playful banter. SRK teased Karan for spending more time hosting chat shows than focusing on filmmaking. Shah Rukh humorously remarked, “Karan told me he won’t rehearse for hosting and will do it on Zoom, saying, “Bhai main Zoom pe kar lunga… main itna jaldi karta hu. Main toh itna hosting karta hu na. (I’m so quick, I host most.’ You host chat shows, film shows… but please make more films too, my brother!)”

SRK as well told Karan in a light-weight-hearted way, “Chat show bhi host karta hai, film show bhi host karta hai… picture bhi toh bana mere bhai tu (make films also)…Kitna host karega tu.”

Karan agreed and shared, ” I became thinking the same when Siddhant (Chaturvedi) said the same thing, I became prefer it be sounding so wrong on all levels for a filmmaker. I be making more movies. It might well be precisely what I be doing,” said the filmmaker, who also hosts the well known famous person chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’.

Karan laughed in agreement, adding that he also realised the same when actor Siddhant Chaturvedi pointed it out. “I believed, this sounds so wrong for a filmmaker. I genuinely be making more movies,” Karan said, relating to his well known chat show ‘Koffee With Karan.’
