Cam Heyward seemed to be taking it well.

The defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to display humor in the face of adversity after the plane carrying the team home from Las Vegas made an emergency landing in Kansas City, Mo., on Sept. 25.

No injuries were reported and the team took a replacement plane back to Pittsburgh. The Steelers were returning to the Iron City following a 23-18 victory over the Raiders in Las Vegas.

Several Pittsburgh media outlets reported that the plane landed at KCI Airport at 3:55 a.m. CT because of oil pressure failure in one of the engines. Fire trucks were at the scene inspecting the Airbus A330-900, according to Pittsburgh CBS affiliate KDKA, which had a news crew aboard the plane.

'Unexpectedly diverted'

"Our team charter plane was unexpectedly diverted to Kansas City early this morning on our way back to Pittsburgh following our game in Las Vegas," Steelers spokesperson Burt Lauten tweeted. "Everyone on the plane is safe, and we are making necessary plans to arrive back in Pittsburgh later today."

Heyward shared his feelings about the incident on X, formerly Twitter, saying "Dang emergency landing in KC.I think it’s due to @minkfitz_21 'roughing the passer call' but seriously landing KC………."

He was referring to Minkah Fitzpatrick, who was flagged after sacking Las Vegas quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, a call that did not still well with Pittsburgh fans.

Still in a playful mood, Heyward made a reference to singing sensation Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The two are reportedly dating and Swift was spotted at the Chiefs' home game in Arrowhead Stadium.

Calling Uncle Snoop Dogg

Swift and Kelce were also seen walking out of the stadium together after the game and driving away in a convertible.

"Yo @taylorswift13 & @tkelce we might need a ride to Pittsburgh," Heyward posted.

Heyward even posted a clip from the 2004 film "Soul Plane," asking the film's star, Snoop Dogg, to come pick them up.

"Who knew Cam was a stand-up comic?" one poster observed.

"He’s great at roasting people," another person noted

Kansas City International got in on the fun, tweeting "Sorry you had to make an unscheduled touchdown in Kansas City,@Steelers. That will be the only one this year (not on the @Chiefs schedule). Post season: who knows? Fly safely."

The Steelers' replacement plane with 182 passengers on board took off at 10:29 a.m. CT and landed in Pittsburgh at 1:19 p.m. ET, ESPN reported, citing FlightAware.
