These Are the Jobs Researchers Say Are 'Safe' From Artificial Intelligence (And Who's At Risk)

Researchers from the University of Pennsylvania have predicted what jobs could be safe from the rise of artificial intelligence. 

The good news is that there are about 34 jobs that probably aren't going to be eliminated by the rise of technology like ChatGPT. The bad news is, almost all the other jobs not on this list may be at risk for some kind of obsolescence.

What Jobs Are Safe from Artificial Intelligence? 

The study, conducted by OpenAI, OpenResearch, and the University of Pennsylvania, is titled "GPTs are GPTs: An Early Look at the Labor Market Impact Potential of Large Language Models." 

More specifically, it examines the "potential implications of large language models (LLMs), such as Generative Pretrained Transformers (GPTs), on the U.S. labor market, focusing on the increased capabilities arising from LLM-powered software compared to LLMs on their own."

The study identified just over 30 jobs that are seen as "occupations with no labelled exposed tasks," meaning a robot isn't likely to do the job in the near future.
