US-India Intersessional Dialogue discusses Indo-Pacific, Ukraine and Gaza matters

Washington: Indian and American officials held the United States-India 2+2 Intersessional Dialogue the total way through the national capital on Monday. At some point of the vital meeting the dignitaries discussed matters pertain to the Indo-Pacific region, and the vital situation in Ukraine, and Gaza. This interaction comes prior to the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden. The Indian delegation became co-chaired by Ministry of External Affairs Joint Secretary for the Americas Nagaraj Naidu along with Indian Ministry of Defense Joint Secretary for International Cooperation Vishwesh Negi. While, the United States delegation became co-chaired by Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asia Donald Lu and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs Jedidiah P. Royal.

Taking up X (formerly Twitter), the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal said, “India and the U.S. held the 2+2 Intersessional at present time with officials from India’s Ministry of External Affairs and Defense and the U.S. State and Defense Departments.”

Explaining the important thing points discussed the total way through the meeting, he said, “Key discussions covered bilateral strategic and defense priorities, alongside regional and global issues.”


In step with the state department, the dialogues shared priorities, including defense cooperation, space and civil aviation collaboration, clean energy cooperation, and industrial and logistics coordination.

“The officials discussed a lot of issues across the Indo-Pacific and worldwide, including toughen for a just and durable peace in Ukraine, as well as toughen for a ceasefire and humanitarian assistance in Gaza,” the State Department said. “Assistant Secretary Lu and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Royal reiterated the USA’ commitment to to boot enhancing ongoing partnerships and expanding people-to-people ties”, it to boot added.
