Vaani Kapoor Takes Lead Role in Badtameez Gill, Film To Be Shot in THESE Locations

Vaani Kapoor made a name for herself when she debuted in the 2013 film Shuddh Desi Romance alongside Parineeti Chopra and the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The actor went on to star in several films including Befikre, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, and others. Now, Vaani is once again set to enthral her audience with the coming-of-age modern dramedy ‘Badtameez Gill.’ The movie will be helmed by Navjot Gulati, and Nickky Bhagnani, Viicky Bhagnani, Vinay Aggarwal, Ankur Takrani, and Akshad Ghone will produce the film.

The producers of the film, Nickky & Viicky, talked about the film in a statement where they mentioned that Vaani is the face of their upcoming project. The duo said, “Vaani Kapoor is headlining our ambitious project Badtameez Gill, which is set to go on floors in the first week of May! Vaani was the first and the only choice, and she was perfect for the part in every way. Vaani will showcase a totally different side to her acting in our film that has its heart in the right place.”

They further added, “Vaani is a top-notch actress, and she hasn’t been seen in outright comedies & family entertainers. We feel she will do a brilliant job in this genre. The role was written keeping in mind someone like her.”

Describing Vaani as a beautiful, confident female lead, the producer duo said that Kapoor was the exact fit for the role as it was written keeping in mind someone like her. They further said, that there is a lot of hope connected with her and believe that she will nail the role. Meanwhile, the movie is mainly based in Bareilly and London. Currently, the film is set to start its shooting schedule in underway in Bareilly

Apart from Vaani Kapoor, the movie is expected to feature Aparshakti Khurrana as Kapoor’s brother, whereas acting stalwart Paresh Rawal will play Vaani’s father in the film.
