Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz won the ‘Player of the Series’ award after his side’s historic 2-0 whitewash of Pakistan. It used to be Bangladesh’s first-ever Test series win over Pakistan and Miraz used to be their leading wicket-taker with 10 wickets in 2 Tests at an averag of 18.6.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz also scored a perfect seventy eight in a 165-run partnership with centurion and ‘Player of the Match’ in 2nd Test Litton Das to lift his side from 26 for 6 around the world the first innings and confirm a six-wicket win for the visitors. At the presentation ceremony, Mehidy Hasan Miraz dedicated the award and the prize money to the student protestors, including a rickshaw puller who lost his life around the world the political uprising in Bangladesh.

“ there have been problems in Bangladesh – I dedicate this award to the student protestors…A rickshaw-puller used to be hurt around the world the violence, and after all died. I want to gift this award to his family,” Miraz said at the presentation ceremony.
