WATCH: IDF releases video for proof showing it wasn't behind blast at Gaza hospital

Amid the blame game of who bombed a hospital in Gaza that claimed lives of 500 people, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has released drone footage that it said proves the blast was not caused by its ordinance.

The IDF said if it would have attacked the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital it would have left a crater and not a burning parking lot and shrapnel-pocked roof.

The IDF also released a video on X, formerly Twitter, which showed images of the parking lot of the Gaza hospital where the blast struck, leading to hundreds of casualties.

The clip showed a large fire caused in the area as a result of the blast, but there was no crater.

The Israeli army said strikes by them generally leave large holes in the ground.

The drone footage shared by IDF also pointed to shrapnel that landed on the roof of the nearby buildings, which remain largely intact.

Israel has denied accusations that one of its airstrikes caused the blast at the Gaza hospital and has instead blamed it on a failed rocket launched by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group.

Also, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a post on X, said: “The entire world should know: It was barbaric terrorists in Gaza that attacked the hospital in Gaza, and not the IDF.”

“Those who cruelly murdered our children, murder their children as well,” the Israeli PM added.

However, Palestinian Ambassador to the UN, Riyad Mansour called Netanyahu 'liar' for his statement that Islamic Jihad was responsible for the Gaza hospital attack.

“He (Netanyahu) is a liar. His digital spokesperson tweeted that Israel did the hit thinking that there was a base for Hamas around this hospital, and then he deleted that tweet. We have a copy of that tweet… Now they changed the story to try to blame the Palestinians.”

Mansour further said the Israeli spokesperson of the Army had made a statement in which he ordered evacuation of hospitals.

“Their intention is to evacuate or hospitals will be hit and they are responsible for that crime and they cannot fabricate stories to deal with it,” Mansour said.
