New Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi has expressed self assurance regarding Jay Shah’s recent appointment because the fresh chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), pointing out that there are no concerns over Shah’s promotion to the position.

Elected unopposed on the end of last month, Jay Shah will replace Greg Barclay as ICC chairman, as Barclay opted not to are seeking a 1/3 term. Shah’s elevation is a landmark in cricket administration as he should be the youngest to occupy this prestigious position. Naqwi also revealed that discussions regarding the fresh Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president will take place on the upcoming ACC meeting. Naqvi stated that he wouldn't be attending the meeting but confirmed that Salman Nasir would represent Pakistan on his behalf.

“I'd not have the capacity to attend the meeting, and Salman Nasir will attend. The meeting will finalise matters related to the fresh president,” the PCB chairman said.

The ACC meeting is anticipated to serve as a important platform for finalizing leadership decisions and shaping the agenda for cricket across the region.
