When science meets faith: International tunneling expert Arnold Dix offers prayer outside Silkyara tunnel
As the trapped workers are just moments away from coming out, international tunneling expert Arnold Dix offered prayers at a temple outside the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi for the safety of the 41 men.

A major breakthrough was reached in the Uttarkashi tunnel rescue operation as the pipe-laying work to rescue the 41 trapped workers was completed earlier today. The workers are expected to come out in an hour.
Meanwhile, preparations at the Community Health Center in Chinyalisaur where the workers will be treated following their rescue have also been completed.
Preparations are in full swing to receive the trapped workers after they are rescued from the tunnel with officials bringing garlands at the site of the operation.

Family members of the trapped workers are eagerly waiting for their arrival outside the tunnel. “We are happy that they will be rescued soon,” said family members of the stranded workers. “We will welcome them in a nice way. We had told them that the rescue team would reach them soon.”

Meanwhile, ambulances, NDRF troops, SDRF personnel, and staff from many other agencies have been stationed near the tunnel’s entrance.
According to official sources, the NDRF crew will walk inside the tunnel one by one to free the trapped labourers.
