The 2023 ODI World Cup has entered it’s second half, and the race for the semi-finals is well and truly on. Hosts India have maintained a perfect start to the tournament, with six wins in as many matches, whereas defending champions England are languishing at the wrong end of the standings in tenth place, with just two points from six games.

This has been a batters’ tournament so far, with teams like South Africa and Australia posting scores in excess of 300 on multiple occasions.

As far as the top batters are concerned, only Quinton de Kock has gone past the 500-run mark while four other players, including Virat Kohli, have surpassed the 400-run figure.

South Africa’s Quinton de Kock leads the batting charts with 545 runs in the tournament, followed by Virat Kohli(442 runs) and New Zealand’s batting sensation Rachin Ravindra (415).

With three centuries to his name in the tournament, Quinton de Kock remains a favourite to end the tournament as the top run-getter.

Australia opener David Warner (413) is in this list ahead of India captain Rohit Sharma (402). Aiden Markram (362), Mohammad Rizwan (359) and Rassie van der Dussen (353) are sixth, seventh and eighth respectively.

Daryl Mitchell (346) and Abdullah Shafique (332) complete the top 10 batters.
