India, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand are the four teams to qualify for the semi-finals as six teams were eliminated after an intensely contested group stage. While it’s the batters who have dominated the tournament for a large part, the bowlers cannot be written off by any means.

As a matter of fact, we have witnessed bowlers changing the complexion of a game on multiple occasions, just like how Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj combined to bowl out Sri Lanka for a record low 55.

It is, however, Australia’s Aam Zampa who leads the bowlers’ charts with 22 wickets. Sri Lanka’s Dilshan Madushanka (21 wickets) is in second, with South Africa’s Gerald Coetzee (18) completing the top three bowlers.

The three Indians that feature in the top-10 are Jasprit Bumrah (17), Mohammed Shami (16) and Ravindra Jadeja (16), who are fifth, seventh and eighth respectively.

The race for ending the World Cup as the highest wicket-taker has only become more competitive, so much so that, the top 10 bowlers are separated by only nine wickets.
