@1 every 2 days: 12 days since Hamas attack, Israel has killed 6 top terror commanders

In 12 days of its war against Hamas, Israel has killed six top commanders of the Palestinian terrorist organisation.

On October 7, Israel was attacked by Hamas terrorists who infiltrated through the border fence under a barrage of rocket fire. In no time, Israel in a befitting reply, carried out a massive air and artillery bombardment on Hamas targets along the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Defence Forces released pictures of top Hamas commanders killed by them during the conflict. Sharing the list of Hamas operatives murdered during the war, IDF wrote, “Hamas is a genocidal terrorist organization. We will eliminate Hamas.”

6 top commanders of Hamas eliminated by IDF

The list of the key Hamas operatives killed by IDF are as follows:

1 – Ali Qadi

According to IDF, Ali Qadi was commander of Hamas’ ‘Nukhba’ commando force. He was killed in one of the airstrikes.

IDF said Qadi spearheaded an attack in southern Israel at the begging of the Israel-Hamas war this month.

Following intelligence gathering by the Military Intelligence Directorate and the security organization Shin Bet, Ali Qadi was killed in a drone attack.

The IDF said in 2005, it had taken Kadi into custody on suspicion of kidnapping and killing Israeli civilians. As part of the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner swap, he was freed from the Gaza Strip.

2 – Zachariah Abu Ma’amar

Zachariah Abu Ma’amar was killed in airstrikes by the Israeli Air Force in Gaza. He was a senior member of the Hamas terrorist organization’s political bureau and was head of its office for internal relations.

As per Israel National News, Abu Ma’amar was a senior Hamas decision-maker and coordinator between terror groups in the Gaza Strip. He was also a part of Hamas’ senior forum, involved in the organization’s decision-making and the planning of numerous terror activities against Israel.

“Abu Ma’amar was known as a confidant to Yahya Sinwar, incited against Israel, and acted to endanger Israeli civilians.” the IDF stated.

3 – Joad Abu Shmalah

Joad Abu Shmalah, who was Hamas Economy Minister, was also killed in an airstrike.

According to Israeli forces, Abu Shmalah managed the Hamas’s finances and earmarked the funds for financing and directing terrorism inside and outside the Gaza Strip.

He also previously held security positions in the terrorist organisation and as part of his role led several operations aimed at harming citizens in Israel.

4 – Belal Alqadra

IDF also claimed to have eliminated Belal Alqadra, the commander of the southern Khan Yunis Nukhba forces, in the Gaza Strip on October 14.

According to IDF, Qadr was responsible for attacks on the two Israeli border villages of Nirim and Nir Oz.

5 – Muetaz Eid

The IAF neutralised Muetaz Eid on October 15. He was the National Security’s Commander of Hamas.

Muetaz Eid was also a key strategist for Hamas in the Southern district.

6 – Merad Abu Merad

Merad Abu Merad was the head of the Hamas Aerial Array in Gaza City. He was said to have led the unprecedented and surprise attack on Israel on October 7.

Merad was killed along with Ali Qadi.

As per the update by the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 3,200 people have been killed in Gaza and 11,000 wounded. Another 1,200 people across Gaza are believed to be buried under the rubble, alive or dead, health authorities said.

More than 1,400 people in Israel have been killed, mostly civilians who were slain in Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack. The assault also resulted in some 200 being taken captive into Gaza. Militants in Gaza have launched rockets every day since, aiming at cities across Israel.
