'A historic G20,’ says UK PM Rishi Sunak as he wraps up a successful meet and leaves for London

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Sunday thanked his Indian counterpart PM Narendra Modi for a “historic G20 Summit” and acknowledged the warm welcome he and his wife Akshata Murthy had received from the Indian people on their arrival in the country.

“Stronger together. Stronger united. Thank you @narendramodi for a historic G20 and the Indian people for such a warm welcome. From global food security to international partnerships, it’s been a busy but successful summit,” Sunak posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Sunak happens to be the first Indian-origin Prime Minister that the United Kingdom has had. Earlier talking about his priorities during the G20 summit in Delhi, the UK Prime Minister had stressed how countries need to work together and remain united to resolve key global issues.
