After Raveena Tandon’s Road Rage Incident, Kangana Ranaut Supports Her: ‘Absolutely Alarming, Must Be Reprimanded’

Recently Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon and her driver were allegedly attacked by a mob in Mumbai’s Carter Road over accusations of rash driving. As the situation escalated, Raveena got out of her car to speak with the crowd but was allegedly pushed and hit. There were several false accusations against the actor that she was drunk and her driver hit an old woman. Actor Kangana Ranaut extended her support to Raveena a day after the incident. On her Instagram Stories, Kangana called the incident “absolutely alarming” and condemned the “road rage outbursts,” urging that “those people must be reprimanded.” Kangana wrote, “What happened to Raveena Tandon ji,  is absolutely alarming; had there been 5-6 more people in the opposite group, she would have been lynched; we condemn such road rage outbursts; those people must be reprimanded. They must not get away with such violent and poisonous behaviour.”

The police found that Raveena’s car did not collide with anyone. In a social media video, a man also claimed that Raveena assaulted his mother. He said the incident happened while he was walking with his mother, sister, and niece near the actor’s house.

The Mumbai Police issued a statement clarifying the details of the incident. They confirmed that Raveena Tandon was not drunk, as alleged by the complainants. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajtilak Roshan of Zone 9 explained, “The complainant gave a false complaint in the alleged video. We checked the entire CCTV footage of the society and found that the actress’s driver was reversing the car from the road into the society when this family was crossing the same lane. The family stopped the car and told the driver that he should check if people were behind the car before reversing and an argument started between them.”
