Lok Sabha 2024 Polls: The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases running from April 19 to June 1. The counting and results will be declared on June 4. The voting started at 7 AM and will continue until 6 PM, with those in line by the closing time still allowed to vote. Several Bollywood celebs encouraged people to cast ballots ahead of the polls in Mumbai so they may fulfil their civic responsibility. Akshay Kumar, Rajkummar Rao, and Janhvi Kapoor were the first actors to vote.

Rajkummar Rao voted early in the morning, dressed in a casual t-shirt, trousers and a cap. He revealed his inked finger to the press during the interaction.

Celebrities Farhan Akhtar, Zoya, Sanya Malhotra and Shahid Kapoor were among those who also proudly exercised their franchise by queuing up early at the polls.

As per the ECI, over 8.95 crore voters, including 4.69 crore males, 4.26 crore females, and 5409 third-gender electors, will decide the fate of 695 candidates in the fifth phase of voting.

Phase 5 elections for Mumbai’s six Lok Sabha constituencies are now taking place. Mumbai North, Mumbai North Central, Mumbai North West, Mumbai North East, Mumbai South, and Mumbai South Central are the seats in question. The following Maharashtra seats are taking part in the ongoing fifth phase of the election: Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Kalyan, Palghar, Bhiwandi, and Thane. With 48 Lok Sabha seats, Maharashtra is the state with the second-most after Uttar Pradesh.
