AR Rahman's Chennai concert slammed over mismanagement, molestation & stampede incidents: 'Respect Humanity...It was worst'

The musical concert of the Oscar-winning maestro in Chennai, titled Marakkuma Nenjam, has turned out to be a nightmare for fans. Yesterday (Sunday), several fans in thousands made their way to witness the concert, which was held on the outskirts of the city. While music lovers were excited to see their favourite musician perform on the stage, many of them took to X (previously known as Twitter) and revealed that the concert was overbooked and they were not allowed to enter the show despite having a valid ticket.

There were dozens of people warning us not to get in. Apparently, in the chaotic milieu that followed, many had been pushed/shoved/stamped upon causing injury. The crowd was massive and there wasn’t an inch of space and in the claustrophobic environment, people started fainting.
