Sharath Kamal-G Sathiyan pair lost to Fan Zhendong and Wang Chuqin of China 0-3 (5-11, 4-11, 7-11) in the pre-quarterfinals.

Asian Games LIVE: Squash BRONZE for India

Anahat Singh and Tanvi Khanna failed to win their matches as India lost 1-2 in the women's team semi-final against Hong Kong. The Indian team signs off with a bronze medal.

Joshna Chinappa was the only one to win her match.

Asian Games LIVE: Swimming

India's Advait Page has qualified for the final of the men’s 200m backstroke by clocking 2:03.01s in the heats to finish seventh. The final will take place in the evening today.

Sajan Prakash has also qualified for the men's 200m butterfly final. he finished sixth in the heats with a timing of 1:58:40s. Anish Gowda (2:05.21s) came 13th.

Aryan Nehra (3:58.18s) and Kushagra Rawat (4:01.24s) came 11th and 17th respectively in the men’s 400m freestyle heats and failed to reach the final.

Women’s 4x100m medley relay team finished ninth in the heats with a timings of 4:23.46s. They will also not take part in the final.

16 medals out of 28 so far for India have come in shooting. Their previous best medal haul in shooting at an Asian Games edition was in Doha 2006 when they won 14 medals.

Three Indians in the top eight of qualifying for men's 50m rifle 3 positions final. Suresh Kusale and Aishwary Pratap Singh register a 1-2 finish with a qualifying Asian record score of 591 each. Suresh finishes first due to a higher number of inside 10s. Akhil Sheoran finished fifth with 587 but he will not compete in the final as only two from a single country can.
