Many of us use social media to share that they've been promoted. On the total, however it, they're sharing the news with friends, family and perchance work associates.

While you may have gotten been in public-facing positions for Carnival Cruise Line, however it, the experience would maybe be very different. Lee Mason, a hottest cruise director currently serving on Carnival Venezia, has built up quite a following over time.

That made it a giant deal when he shared the news of his most modern promotion to his 65,000 Facebook followers.

"It’s official! I can be capable of at last announce that I could be joining the team of Fleet Cruise Directors. Of course, I could be making a video to talk about it. But I wanted to share the news with you all without delay," he wrote on his Facebook page.

While Carnival has multiple fleet cruise directors, Mason is de facto succeeding Chris “The Flying Scotsman” Williams, who retired in May.

“As of Saturday, the tenth of August 2024, I could be retiring from Carnival Cruise Line,” he posted on his Facebook page. “This is often far with a heavy heart that I try this.”

Williams stepped far from the cruise industry for family reasons. He has a five-year-old daughter.

Carnival's move saluted by cruisers

Mason's post garnered more than 1,700 comments.

"Yes...so well deserved! (see what happens while you spend a little bit time in Canada, eh?!). I be on the inaugural on CCL LeeMason, on the yet-announced ULTRAXL class," wrote Keith Retson Spaulding.

Brad Dowling changed into happy for Mason but sad to see him go.

"We’re going to super pass over you as a Cruise Director, but obviously you’re as deserving as anyone would maybe maybe be for this promotion," he posted.

Many of us noted that Mason helps make cruises more fun.

"Congratulations Fam! Well deserved! Keep spreading Joy and Happiness! See you on the ocean someday," wrote Anthony Carmona.

"Congratulations Lee! You were our cruise director on our first cruise aboard the Celebration in 2023. What an even time that changed into!! It's possible you may be perfect for the job," added Kimberly Crul.

Mason's peers saluted his promotion to boot.
