CES 2024: Dell unveils new line of Alienware laptops, QD-OLED gaming monitors, gaming peripherals

At CES 2024, Dell has taken the stage to reveal an impressive array of gaming-focused products under its Alienware brand.

The lineup includes new laptops, desktop PCs, monitors, and competitive gaming peripherals. Collaborating with esports organization Team Liquid, Alienware has incorporated valuable insights from professional players in designing and testing these innovations.

Alienware’s 2024 Gaming Laptops
Alienware’s focus on catering to competitive players remains steadfast, but the brand’s laptop family has evolved to appeal to a broader audience. The redesigned m16 R2, positioned as an all-purpose notebook, boasts a 15 per cent smaller footprint compared to its predecessor.

The m16 R2 integrates Stealth Mode for a discreet experience, turning off RGB light effects and reducing fan noise. For enhanced performance, Alienware has supercharged its x16 R2 notebook model with internal upgrades and a default 240Hz display.

The m18 R2, designed for users seeking desktop-level power in a portable form, features the highest storage capacity of any Alienware laptop, reaching up to 10TB.

Alienware’s QD-OLED Gaming Monitors
In addition to the laptop models, Alienware introduces two new QD-OLED gaming monitors – the Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED Gaming Monitor (AW3225QF) and Alienware 27 360Hz QD-OLED Gaming Monitor (AW2725DF).

These monitors cater to both competitive players and content creators, offering features like a 240Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision HDR technology, and a dedicated console mode.

The AW2725DF, tailored for esports competitions, boasts a best-in-class 360Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time for optimal motion clarity.

Team Liquid Approved Peripherals
Dell’s Alienware brand debuts its first-ever competitive gaming peripherals, the Alienware Pro wireless mouse and keyboard. Developed with input from Team Liquid, these peripherals prioritize durability, consistency, and ease of use.

The wireless mouse operates at a consistent 4,000 Hz polling rate for 32 hours, offering a precise and smooth experience. The mouse design, symmetrical and lightweight at 60 grams, caters to various grip types.

The Alienware Pro wireless keyboard, with a compact 75 per cent form factor, features linear mechanical switches with a 40g activation force, ensuring quick inputs and a satisfying feel. The keyboard’s wireless functionality lasts for 72 hours with RGBs at 50 per cent or an impressive 798 hours without RGBs.

Dell’s commitment to delivering high-performance gaming products is evident in the Alienware lineup, showcasing advancements in laptops, monitors, and peripherals. The collaboration with Team Liquid reinforces the brand’s dedication to meeting the needs of competitive players and enthusiasts alike.
