Farida Jalal Says She’s Not in Touch with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan Because of THIS Reason

Farida Jalal On Not Keeping In Touch with SRK and Salman Khan

In a recent interview with India Today, the actress who was last seen in the web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, shared insights into her interactions with Bollywood big shots, Shah Rukh and Salman Khan.

Farida’s work with famous actors like Shah Rukh and Salman Khan in various films is noteworthy. Just recently, she shared that, due to an exchange in phone numbers, it’s been quite difficult to maintain regular communication with both of them.

Talking to the media agency Farida says, “No, I am not in touch. How do I get to him, tell me? (even) Salman, how do I get to them? You know, they have changed their mobiles or whatever. The number I have of Shah Rukh… I had a shoulder surgery done and he has done many. So, those days I went to his doctor also. He called (me) out of the blue, so sweet na? (sic).”

She narrated how Shah Rukh was there for her after her shoulder surgery, though she didn’t mention the exact timeline. Shah Rukh’s words of patience for her post-surgery recovery comforted her as he warned her that regaining full arm mobility wouldn’t be quick. All this underlines her heightened worry about not being able to lift her arm.

The Heeramandi actress said, “But now, when I try calling him on that number, because I loved his success, his films, I want to tell him, ‘Bachcha, very good, I am very happy for you,’ but there is nobody on that line. If his secretary is not kind to you then what do you do? I have to go through somebody as I don’t have his number. So, Shah Rukh should think about this. When people want to talk to you, what do they do? People like me. Salman also, I used to have his number we used to talk to each other so often, now he must have changed his number, what do I do? (sic).”

The veteran actress, at the age of 75, has graced the silver screen with unforgettable roles in her time. Her powerhouse performances in iconic films such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, and Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge has left an indelible mark.
