Gujarat Titans, IPL 2024 Auction: Full list of players bought by GT, complete squad

Gujarat Titans are the only team out of the ten to have a hundred per cent record when it comes to reaching the final of the Indian Premier League, though to be fair they have featured in only two editions to date.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya led them to title triumph on debut in 2022 and nearly became only the third captain in the history of the tournament to win back-to-back titles after leading GT to the final of the 2023 edition, where they ended up losing against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings.

Pandya’s shock return to Mumbai Indians, as well as his subsequent appointment as captain of the franchise, has since led to the Titans appointing young opener Shubman Gill as their leader for the 2024 edition.

As for their retentions and releases, GT released eight players into the auction pool including left-arm seamer Yash Dayal — who had been smacked for five sixes by Rinku Singh last season — as well as West Indian Odean Smith. That left them with a purse of Rs 38.15 crore — the highest among the 10 franchises — and eight slots to fill in the auction, two of them overseas.
