‘Happy birthday to the light of our lives’, Dinesh Karthik shows love to his wife on her birthday

New Delhi: Love knows no boundaries, and when it finds its way into the hearts of two accomplished athletes, it creates a story worth celebrating. Dinesh Karthik, the veteran Indian cricketer, and Dipika Pallikal, India’s squash queen, launched right into a unprecedented journey of affection back in 2013. Dinesh Karthik showed his love towards his wife on social media on Instagram. His wife turned 33 this day on twenty first September 2024, Saturday.  The cricketer wrote ‘Happy birthday to the sunshine of our lives’.

Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal first crossed paths in 2012 at a gym where they shared the same fitness coach. Dipika to start up with held reservations about cricketers, believing they received undue attention, Dinesh Karthik’s humility and dedication won Dipika over, dispelling her misconceptions about cricketers. Their friendship gradually evolved into something deeper.

In 2013, Dinesh made a memorable time out to the UK to meet Dipika, despite his busy cricketing agenda. Dipika turned into deeply moved by this gesture, and their bond grew stronger. Dinesh proposed to Dipika in London after India’s Champions Trophy victory in 2013. Dipika accepted, marking an incredible step of their relationship.

Both families took time to come to terms with the cultural differences, as Dinesh is Hindu, and Dipika is Christian. Their engagement ceremony in Chennai formalized their relationship. Despite their busy careers, the couple managed to find time for every other. They hottest spending time with family and shut friends over extravagant parties.

The couple celebrated their love with enthusiasm through pre-wedding functions, including mehendi and sangeet ceremonies. Dipika’s bridesmaids were visibly excited, adding to the joyous atmosphere. Dinesh and Dipika’s wedding in August 2015 blended Hindu and Christian traditions. Their union symbolized the impending together of diverse backgrounds beautifully.
