Here Are the Top 10 Places Digital Nomads Are Working From

If you can work from home, then home can be anywhere.

The work from home revolution has given rise to the digital nomad. These are people who don’t like to be tied down to one area, and instead travel the world to explore different cities and cultures while working from their laptop.

The lifestyle of working remotely and seeing the planet has become so popular it has its own lifestyle website Nomadlist, which posits that most digital nomads were from the United States as of March 2022, “making up more than 50% of the digital nomad community.”

The vacation agency Dream Yacht Charter Worldwide has released its list of the 10 most popular countries for digital nomads last year, breaking it down by criteria such as the current cost of living, the temperature at both the hottest and coldest peaks, the best and cheapest times of year to travel and how easy is it to secure a Visa.

So which countries made the list?

1. United States

USA! USA!

Look, our country has its share of problems, but we also have a lot to recommend, including plenty of cities with both beautiful lakes and mountains as well as vibrant entertainment areas, plenty of friendly people and a surprisingly strong economy at the moment.

2. Thailand

Thailand, especially Bangkok, isn’t just a tourist destination, it’s a popular place to settle down for a bit. The cost of living is roughly 40% lower than the average cost of living in the US, and it has wonderful scenery such as tropical rainforests, waterfalls, mountains. There’s also monkeys. Have you ever seen a monkey in real life? Would recommend.
