The banner will hold press screenings for each of its films in the 'first half of the release day,' while not holding pre-release screenings of any new releases.

Here’s why Karan Johar stops all pre-release screenings at Dharma Productions

The films supported by director-producer Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions banner may not be going to be screened earlier of their official free up. As a ‘necessary step’ to cope with the enjoyment of the movie-having a look at experience, the production house has announced that the banner has unanimously agreed now to not carry pre-free up screenings for its upcoming projects.

Producer Karan Johar, who owns the production firm, and Dharma Productions CEO Apoorva Mehta undersigned the official statement released with the media. “After loads deliberation, we’ve unanimously decided to forgo pre-free up screenings for our upcoming films.”

“This decision has been difficult to make, alternatively, we accept as true with it’s a necessary step in ensuring that each viewer, including our friends worldwide the media, witness our stories as they were meant to be experienced. We accept as true with it should assist in putting forward the joys of the cinematic experience for all,” the statement read.

While the banner turned into forgoing pre-free up screenings of new movies, it should host press screenings worldwide the “first 0.5 of the discharge day” for each of its movies. “We warmly welcome all media personnel to sign up for us at these screenings, where you're ready to be the primary to witness our most up-to-date offerings. We value the connection built with every one of you over time and never sleep to your continued cooperation,” the producers added.

About Dharma Productions’ upcoming film ‘Jigra’

Jigra is an action-packed drama all in favour of a jailbreak, starring Alia Bhatt (Satya) and Vedang Raina (Ankur) as siblings. The movie shows how some distance a sister will go to keep her brother safe. The film, produced by Dharma Productions, will open in theatres on October eleven, 2024.
