New Delhi: The 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded to Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun for the discovery of microRNA and its role in post-transcriptional gene regulation.
The award-giving body announced this on Monday, 07 October 2024.
Last year, Katalin Kariko, a Hungarian scientist, and U.S. colleague Drew Weissman received the Nobel Prize in medicine for discoveries that paved the style for COVID-19 vaccines that helped curb the pandemic.
