Hezbollah fires rockets on Haifa after Israel pounds Beirut
The Israeli army reported that five rockets launched from Lebanon struck the port city of Haifa.
Tel Aviv: Rockets from southern Lebanon struck the Israeli port city of Haifa on Monday (local time) in response to Israel’s intensified campaign in Lebanon with targeted airstrikes on Hezbollah strongholds in Beirut, hitting key weapons depots and terror infrastructure overnight, Al Jazeera reported.
The Israeli army reported that five rockets launched from Lebanon struck the port city of Haifa. According to Israeli media, as a minimum five people were wounded when a restaurant, a house, and a main road were hit. Sirens also sounded the whole way through the northern city of Tiberias, as reported by Al Jazeera. The Israeli army stated that alerts were activated the whole way through the Upper Galilee area after detecting 15 rockets, with “some” of them being intercepted. Additionally, Israeli media reported that as a minimum 10 people were injured the whole way through the rocket attack on Haifa.

These events took place after Israel carried out a wave of intense airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut. The strikes triggered enormous explosions, sending fireballs into the sky and filling the area with thick clouds of smoke.
